The first trial in the of tens of thousands of U.S. lawsuits against Swiss agribusiness giant Syngenta began on Monday, April 24, 2017 in Minneapolis, MN. The lawsuit seeks to hold Syngenta accountable for its decision to introduce a genetically engineered corn seed variety to the U.S. market before China approved it for imports. In 2015, Minnesota revised its expungement law. The revised law makes it easier to seal criminal records.
