Rochester-based, Bird, Stevens & Borgen, P.C. has been active in the community. On Monday, June 8, 2015, BJS attorneys donated to a golf event, “Swinging for the Stars,” at the Somerby Golf Community in Byron, MN to benefit the Minnesota Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
BJS attorney Andrea Niesen sits on the Executive Committee for the Minnesota Chapter and has been a long-time volunteer wish granter. It is believed that the event raised enough money to grant at least 6-7 wishes for children battling life-threatening medical conditions. The weather was perfect for a golf outing, and Make-A-Wish hosted a great event.
On Saturday, June 13, 2015, BJS attorneys donated to another golf event to benefit the Chatfield Youth Football program. The program is for 5th and 6th graders interested in playing padded football. BJS partner Jeremy Stevens has been active with Chatfield football for many years.
BJS has also donated to organizations such as Hiawatha Homes, Chatfield Lions Club, Paws and Claws, Safe Haven, and the Olmsted County Historical Society.
